Payyanur Souhruda Vedi Dubai, Sharjah & Northern Emirates unit organized a mega musical evening KERALEEYAM 2007 to celebrate the festivals of Onam, Eid and Kerala Piravi.  The programme was held on 9th Nov, 2007 at Sharjah Indian Association Hall.  This event became a grand success -both in terms of participation by PSV members and general public and performance levels of the artists.  A huge gathering of around 900 people sat through the entire programme which started at 7.30 pm and ended at 11.30 pm

Shri Yavanika Gopalakrishnan honoured Shri Azeez Theyineri, the famous Mappila Pattu singer who has flown in for exclusively for this event.  Also Shri Gopalakrishnan also gave away best student awards to Master Arun Bhaskaran Nair (for securing 84% in CBSE 12th), Ms. Farisa Mustafa (for securing 74% in Kerala Board 12th) and Master Vishal Chandran (for securing A level in Kerala SSLC).  Shri Ramesh Payyanur (President PSV Dubai), VP Sasikumar (Vice President PSV Dubai) and Abdul Nazeer

(General Secretary PSV Dubai) were present during the facilitation.  Mr KV Gopalan, Managing Director of Payyanur Plantations and Industries Ltd gave away a memento to Shri Gopalakrishnan on behalf of PSV.  While accepting the award Shri Azeez Thayineri expressed his gratitude and happiness for bestowing him such an honour by his own people. 

A grand music, dance and mimicry programe followed.  Noted singers Shri Azeez Thayineri, Rajeev Kodampally (RAK Radio), Anjana Haridas (Asianet Radio), Kunhu Bhai, Mohd Nawas, Aswhathi Kurup and Ashwathi Mohan enthralled the audience with their melodious songs.  A super mimicry show led by Sharngadharan and supported by Ramesh Payyanur and Dileep was the highlight of the event.  Also Thiruvathirakali, Oppana and Cinematic Dance were presented by Bharathi Narayanan and team.  Shri Bhaskaran Nair, former President of PSV gave away gifts to the dance team members.

During this event PSV Dubai started fund raising for their Charity wing.  PSV's senior most member Shri Krishnan Unnithiri inaugurated the charity fund by giving the first donation to President Ramesh Payyanur.
